Hello, my name’s Ryan Murphy and I’m in the video and broadcast industry, still new to the scene, so to speak. I currently reside in Edmonton, Alberta and now for a little history about me...I’m a graduate from NAIT’s ‘Digital and Interactive Media Design’ of April 2008. After my schooling I found myself doing contract work for a couple small companies, one web based where I cut together band interviews for the web, and the other making safety videos for company’s such as Weatherford. After those experiences I moved onto a small company where I was part of a small crew that broadcasts curling LIVE to the web. That brought me into the broadcast industry, where since then I’ve learned to wrap me some mad cable, operate camera’s for long periods, switch for LIVE broadcasts, use VTR for playback and recording, using an Inscriber for graphics, and of course setting up and tearing down for some big shows.

Currently I’m looking out for the next gig, hopefully something new and where I can learn even more. As that’s what this industry is really all about, isn’t it?
